This Moody 42 Ketch ‘Nesina’ is a classic, solidly built cruiser from Moody. She features a spacious interior with a huge saloon and generous owners cabin, her deep cockpit with sail controls led back, make this boat a perfect family cruiser – safe, comfortable and easy to sail.

Her owner has looked after her meticulously, with no expense spared on works and servicing where needed.

This Moody 42 Ketch is powered by a Perkins 4236 72hp diesel engine, she has 3681 hours and is still in great working order. She has a shaft drive and 3-blade fixed propeller.

There is also a Beta B2 482 generator onboard from 2007 with only 40 hours, as well as Webasto heating.

This Masthead Ketch rigged Moody 42 has an inventory of Hood and Lucas sails including an in-mast furling mainsail, roller furling genoa, mizzen, lightweight mizzen triangle, and 2x cruising chutes.

The standing rigging was last serviced in 2010, her running rigging was serviced in 2016.

The large aft master stateroom features a huge double bed, dressing area with table and mirror, hanging wardrobe, chest of drawers and an ensuite bathroom with shower.

Forward are two further cabins, the forepeak cabin features a V-berth with removable middle section for optional twin or double berth layout, and there is a third cabin with bunk beds. There is also a second bathroom forward with shower.

The spacious saloon benefits from a very large U-shaped sofa, with extendable table to create a dining area with plentiful seating for up to 9 guests. The sofa area can also be converted to form another double berth for additional guests.

The long galley is situated to starboard and is equipped with a Flavel gas cooker with two-ring hob and oven, mounted on gimbals for ease of use at sea; fridge/freezer and sink with hot and cold water.

This Moody 42 is easily helmed with all lines led back to the cockpit, she features Lewmar winches: 2x 44 self-tailing in cockpit, 2x at mast and 2x boom.

Her ground tackle includes a self-stowing CQR bow anchor and also a spare Danforth anchor with 60m chain.

The cockpit is sheltered by a fixed hard-top canopy with full windscreen and Clearview wiper system. She also has a bimini cover for the cockpit.

This Moody 42 Ketch features a 24 volt electrical system. Other electrical and navigation equipment includes: 2x 2 banks of12v batteries, battery charger (new 2015), auto-helm, GPS and radar.
