This Sundeer 56 is powered by a Yanmar JH4DTE 88hp diesel engine, with a 24″ Max Prop 3-blade variable pitch bronze propeller.
There is also a Izuzu 3.5kw generator, and 1x engine service and 2x Balmar 175amp alternators.
This Sundeer 56 features a Forespar fractional rig with prebend and hydraulic backstay, with 1×19 wire forged top, Norseman bottom standing rigging. There is also a Forespar boom rigged for 3x double reef and sail foot tensioning, preventers, and Forespar spring loaded Vang with banjo tensioner to cockpit.
The foresail is fitted on a Profurl LC42 furled with line to cockpit, and the Code Zero is fitted on a Facnor FX4500 endless loop furling system from 2013.
Running rigging includes running backstays in 10mm Dyneema. Most control lines are led back to the cockpit where there are 6x winches and 15x 12-14mm Lewmar rope clutches. There are heavy duty port and starboard preventers from boom to cockpit winches; and running backstays to winches and jammers.

This Sundeer 56 also features a carbon fibre pole on mast track for the spinnaker or as whisker pole for the foresail; 4x deck hard points on each side for preventer anchors, running backstays, and code zero deck point; and a deck toe rail slotted for additional anchor points and turning blocks.
There is also a fully ready, unused storm drogue with all ropes, weights and instructions.
This Sundeer 56 is equipped with four anchors, her 80kg Bruce anchor and the Maxwell 3500c electric anchor windlass were specified for use on the Sundeer 56, there is also a Fortress 55kg on the stern arch, and a Fortress 45 and 85 in the forepeak as spares, along with 80m 10mm chain from 2013.
3x cleats are found forward, 2x at midships and 2x at stern.
Winches included on board this Sundeer 56 are: 2x Lewmar 54 sheet winches, 2x Lewmar 58 (one electric for halyards and main sheet), 2x Lewmar 46 auxiliary winches in cockpit for running backstays or preventers, 2x Lewmar 40 winches on the mast for smaller halyards, there are also 6x winch handles.
Tracks, cars and blocks are all Lewmar Ocean, ‘T’ track size 3 with 4x genoa cars, main sheet beam track and traveller, size 3 turning blocks for halyards and preventers, and size 2 turning blocks for reefing.
The cockpit of this 1996 Sundeer 56 has a large hard top canopy/dog house in aluminium and glass over the front half of the cockpit. Read or the deckhouse has roll down transparent sides and separate roll down mosquito nets. There is also a bimini which covers the full cockpit width and height from over the dog house to the rear arch.
Accommodation on board this Sundeer 56 is provided within two cabins. Forward the master cabin features a queen sized, centreline bed with side access; there is pentiful storage in side lockers, hanging wardrobes, and there is also vanity unit with basin and mirror.
There is a further crew cabin to aft with bunk beds, and additional single berths can be made from the saloon benches which all have lee cloths.
The saloon of this Sundeer 56 features and L-shaped seating area as well as bench seats, there is also a dining table.
