2003 Moody 47 ‘Tikka’ for sale in Hamble, England
This late 2002 built Moody 47 was the 2003 model year London boat show boat. She was launched for her first and only owners, the designers of the Moody range, in July 2003.
Built by Princess Yachts International, the Moody 47 owes its impressive passage times to its latest generation hull which, with its extended waterline, cuts efficiently through the water.
It would be difficult to find another boat with interior teak wood veneers to the standard of the Moody 47. Her accommodation sleeps seven (excluding saloon) and boasts four cabins. The comfortable and well lit raised saloon has ‘U’ shaped seating to port with a solid wood extending table and two single armchairs either side of a drinks cabinet to starboard. LED overhead lighting. Blown air heating outlets throughout. Holding tank.
Selden white painted mast and boom with in-mast furling plus the optional cutter rig and self-tacking and furling stay sail for greater flexibility, bowsprit with furling gennaker and electric genoa winches.
Auxiliary powered by Yanmar 75hp 4 cylinder diesel engine with 3 bladed Bruntons Varifold folding propeller. Bow thruster, 4Kw Generator, Victron 2Kw Inverter/100Ah charger, and Dessalator 100Litres/Hour watermaker.
This Moody 47 benefits from new Awlgrip painted topsides and new cockpit teak. Teak is also used for the side decks and the cap rail on the raised bulwarks.
