It’s the last day of the game shooting season in England today and we’re celebrating with a brace of Sigma 38’s for sale in Southampton.
These boats may be purchased individually or as a brace for anyone considering building or extending a charter fleet.
The Sigma 38 was designed by David Thomas as a fast cruiser/ racer and became an established a successful one-design class, this One Design class is now growing in popularity again. There were 14 yachts in the class at Cowes Week 2014 and 18 yachts for the Round the Island Race 2014.
Sigma 38, hull number 58 ‘Flying Banana’ and hull number 93 ‘Flying Formula’ are great examples of the Sigma 38 class. Their accommodation comprises of 3 cabins and offers berths for up to 10 people. They have the traditional interior with pilot berths on either side of the main saloon.
Both Sigma 38’s are currently MCA coded Cat 2 for commercial use 60 miles from a safe haven and are being offered for sale complete with an inventory to meet those requirements.
Currently undergoing winter maintenance including up dated varnish work below and the usual antifouling and engine services.

In addition to the spec there are several older sails in various conditions that could be available which are good for cruising or delivery. Both boats are presented in good condition and ready to race or cruise.
These Sigma 38’s have been successful charter boats for several seasons, and are sold with the benefit of existing charters if required and have current MCA coding certificates. There are genuine opportunities to extend the fee earning charter work into the future.
