1985 Moody 47 for sale in Baja California Sur, Mexico

1985 Moody 47 for sale in Baja California Sur, Mexico

1985 Moody 47 lying in Mexico.

This Moody 47 spent 1987-1997 ashore in dry storage, followed by 10 years on a fresh water lake, so it has not seen the usage or wear and tear you would expect from a 30+ year old boat.

The Moody 47 is a great example of yet another successful design to come from the drawing board of Bill Dixon. With a full beam master cabin aft and a spacious saloon this centre cockpit cruiser is well thought out and comfortable for longer distance cruising.

The current owners have recently replaced the navigation equipment to a modern Garmin system, added a Kubota generator, new ICOM SSB, Maxwell windlass along with a new stove and water heater.

Owner’s comments:

‘Divershun’ has been well maintained, teak is in great shape, the gel coat waxed to look new too, over all a very clean boat.
