Arguably ahead of her time in terms of design, performance and build material, Loftari was the first custom Baltic designed by Reichel/Pugh. This ultra-hi-tech 70-footer was all carbon/Nomex right down to her weight saving cabin sole boards, interior fit out and furniture. Immense attention to detail was paid to weight saving and efficient design in an effort to produce a high performance, true cruiser/racer. The result was a 70ft sailing yacht with a large sail area and 57 per cent of her weight in the keel. Although launched in 1997, the Baltic 70RP Loftfari remains a modern yacht even by today’s standards. |
