Classic motor yacht designed for a New England yachtsman who required a good seagoing craft of heavy construction with a good turn of speed and spacious accommodations.

Built in West Lynn, Massachusetts in 1933, Marguerita has been well maintained over the years and, with more than 80.000,00 euros recently spent in a complete overhaul of re-caulking her hull, stripping and repainting her whole body, today shows very nicely.

She is still in her original state of design consisting of interior panelling and doors of mahogany and all built in cabinets in mahogany. She’s been re-powered with twin Detroit Diesels in the 1940’s by the US Coast Guard.

Later she was sold and relocated to Los Angeles, California where history has it that she was owned by the actor, John Wayne who changed her name to Marguerita in honour of his wife. Later she was relocated to San Francisco.

Note that the hardtop over the bridge deck is a very practical modern addition and that the electronics were recently updated for European compatibility.
