1969 Super Aquarama 306 for sale on Lake Garda
A true icon, this is a great opportunity to buy one of the nicest Riva Aquarama’s ever built and in stunning condition only used for Riva rally’s.
This Super Aquarama 306 is the first Super Aquarama from a small series of only ten, built in early 1969, it has the bow nose angle of the Aquarama Special but keeps the low barrel back stern of the first Aquarama series, which makes it very unique. After this series n°306 to 315, (5 Aquarama and 5 Super Aquarama), Riva raised the stern by 10 cm to accommodate bigger fuel tanks, which made its lines heavier and not so elegant. The whole story can be found in the “Tritone Aquarama book by Piero Gibellini”.
The engines are the originals 427/320 HP GM’s which were marinised by Riva. During the boat’s life, the engines have been fully rebuilt (1993), then lightly used, the boat was kept for several years at the yard Sportmer in Saint Tropez where it had been sold new. After the first owner’s death, it was sold in 1999 to a boat yard on the Atlantic coast, Royal Automobiles, where restoration started but was not finished. The current and third owner bought the boat in the middle of the restoration in 2004. It was finished between 2005-2006 including new upholstery, new varnish in and out, new paint inside hull, new chrome. When the bottoms were changed in 2010, the engines were given a full engine check and are in great condition.
The boat sits on a custom built aluminum trailer made in Florida, that will go with the boat. The owner tows it with a Chevrolet Silverado Duramax 2500HD Crew cab 4×4 that can be sold with the boat if required.
