1980 Nautor Swan 47 for sale in Sweden
SY Farouche was built in may 1980 and is in her second ownership only. Her first owner bought her brand new for his 60th birthday and sailed her from the yard in Finland during summer 1980 to Sardinia where he has a house with a private dock. It is where she spends all her life cruising in the waters of Sardinia and occasionally in Corsica. She has never been chartered, nor raced or hammered. Every year, for six months or so, she was laid up on dry dock in a yard at Porto Cervo. Excellent service and careful attention were always provided to her. Between 1997 and 2000, she spends all her time on the dry dock, her first owner ageing and having other plans.
In the year 2000, I had the good fortune of purchasing her. Since she has been dry for 3 years, before putting her into the water, I took the opportunity to give her a thorough preventive anti osmosis treatment. This treatment was scientifically made, the different coats calibrated as to build a total of 0.750 mm of protection.
After that, she was sailed to France for a short while and then shipped to the south of Sweden to have her teak decks renewed and her systems overhauled and replaced.
She is now in ship shape condition and longing for some sailing adventures.
