Rachel III is no ordinary Formosa 68. Between 2010 and 2013, she was painstakingly refitted to the very highest standard by her owners, and now opitimises luxury both inside and out.

Her two engine setup is also unique, thought to be the only twin engine Formosa in the world. She benefits from two new engines, shafts, props. Along with new generators, new electrics, new fridges, new air conditioning, new tanks, new watermakers, new chain, new rigging, new sails, new nav gear and new steering.

Truly, no expense has been spared to make this Formosa 68 a world class luxury motorsailer.

This Formosa 68 is powered by two 2011 Yanmar 4LHA-DTP 200hp diesel engines with ZF boxes. The engines are fitted with new Balmar high output alternators and Balmar regulators.

There is a Norpro 12kv generator and a Norpro 32kv generator both new in 2011 and fitted in sound boxes. As well as a Spectra Watermaker Newport 400 MPC-5000 MkII 12v 14-16GPH 54-60LPH and Side Power bow thruster with dual controls (2011)

All exhaust and cooling systems were replaced in 2011, her water filters were fitted new in 2012. There are also new shafts and propellers with PSS seals and Shaft Shark cutters, new Kobelt Mighty Mariner engine controls, Racon diesel filter system for all engines (2012) and Hydraulic two-position steering (2013)

The engine room was fitted out with 5 engine room fans, 6 bilge pumps, and sound proofing. As well as, bronze thru-hull fittings, seacocks and all piping in 2011, and new diesel and fresh water tanks in 2013.

The standing and running rigging on board this Formosa 68 was completely replaced in 2012. She has new winches in 2011 and a new wardrobe of sails in 2012.

Her sails are rigged on Harken roller reefing systems new in 2012, and her mast was painted with Awlgrip and fitted with new fixings.

Deck gear on board this Formosa 68 features anchors with G3 3/4″ 320ft & 100ft chain new in 2012, with deck and anchor wash down system. She has dinghy davits, solar panels, custom made boarding ladders all new in 2012. New Lewmar hatches were fitted in 2010.

In 2017 all exterior wood work was stripped and varnished. Superstructure, deck and hull was Awl gripped in 2011-13, with windows in deckhouse, pilot house and stern all replaced during this period.

The exterior seating and teak table with built-in fridge were custom made in 2012, with the fridge being replaced again in 2017.

There is a BBQ grill located on deck, solid stainless steel hand rails (2012), a hot and cold deck shower, a Hookah-diving unit for two divers (2013) and big game fishing equipment included.

The interior of this Formosa 68 benefits from new (2012-13) carpets, curtains and upholstery. All interior woodwork including floors were stripped and varnished in 2011.

The saloon features a large sofa seating area to starboard with a bar. There are two flat screen televisions (2012) and a radio/MP3 stereo system with four speakers inside and two on deck (new 2017).

To port, another large wrap around sofa creates a dining area with a huge dining table and stool seats for additional guests.

The galley is situated aft of the saloon and is well equipped with a Force 10 4-burner stove and oven; Panasonic microwave with grill/steam/hot air cooking options; 2x large fridge/freezers (plus additional freezer in saloon bar); Miele Marine washing marine washer/dryer; toaster; two deep sinks; fan and extractor unit. All kitchen utensils, cutlery and china are included with the boat.

Accommodation for 6 guest is provided within this luxurious Formosa 68.

Forward are two guest cabins each with a double berth, ensuite bathroom and plentiful storage.

The master suite is situated aft, making use of the full beam of the boat, it features a large centreline double bed, plentiful storage in lockers and hanging wardrobes, a vanity area and ensuite bathroom with Porcelain toilet.

All four bathrooms are fitted with Raritan Atlantes Freedom A7 Porcelain toilets with sea water filters and odor supplement.

There is a crew quarters located in the forepeak and a further captains cabin to starboard beside the engine room.
