The Ocean Star 51.2  is a classic sailboat with exceptional seaworthiness, combining timeless design with plenty of comfort. Fashioned with a traditional wood interior, the Ocean Star 51.2 has an impressive saloon and offers spacious cabins. This 2001 Ocean Star 51.2 is powered by a Yanmar 4JH3-DTE 125hp diesel engine.

This boat is available for handover from late October 2024.

 

2020/2021 Refit work:

From the beginning of November 2020 until the first weeks of March 2021, Silver Star was in the dry dock of Lavrio where not only the annual maintenance process completed but in fact an extensive rebuild program was implemented.

As part of this effort, the following are done:
1. - General repair of the generator (Fiser Panta 7.5KvA)
2. -Replacement of all fresh water, gray water and black water pipes with new antibacterial ones.
3. -Installation of a new battery bank with 1X50AH for the VHF, 1X180AH for the starter, 3X180AH for the service, 2X180AH for the winch and bow thruster. AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) technology was preferred for reasons of safety, high resistance to discharges and optimal service to our customers.
4. -Replacement of the main electrical components with a new MasterVolt Charge Master Plus II 75A charger, Mastervolt AC Master 1000Watt inverter and fully automated 220V power distributor (AutoSwitch ABB). The 220V power supply is permanent on the boat and completely independent of the operation of the generator, central engine or external source (shore power).
5. -Replacement of the 18cm/85Kgf Bow Thruster with a new VETUS 12512D 25cm/125Kgf.
6. -Replacement of all the basic components of the five toilets with new ones
7. -Installation of GOBIUS sensor for level control in the holding tank.
8. -Full reef cleaning (up to Jelcoat) and coating with three coats of Seajet117 Epoxy primer, one coat of Seajet 115 primer and two coats of Seajet039 Antifouling platinum.
9. -Replacement of the two steering wheels with new ones with high quality leather covering
10. -Detailed cleaning and painting of all bilges
11. -Replacement of all bed linen with new ones and addition of household goods
12. -Replacement of the central refrigerator with a new technology stainless steel drawer from Isotherm
13. -Replacement of all main parts of the worker with new Lofrans motor and Quick reducer.
14. -Replacement of sealing rubbers on all hatches
15. -Replacement of course compasses with new Plastimo Olympic 135
16. -New Jenoa and Main Sail
17. -New Spray Hood and Bimini

Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, Tim has a wealth of knowledge in many areas of the trade. Previous roles included marina operations, new boat sales and commissioning of new boats.
