Thirty of the UK’s top sand yachting enthusiasts are competing on Brean beach this weekend as part of the British Land Yacht Championships.

Enthusiasts compete in Land Yacht Championships Credit Brean Land Yacht Club

The two day event is being put on by Brean Land Yacht Club. Racing is due to start at 1100 on Saturday and 1000 on Sunday.

The yachts can reach speeds of up to 60mph as they travel across the sand.
